As I understand Title 17 United States Code relating to copyright, it is no longer necessary to date or place a copyright symbol, e.g. “©” or “Copyright”, with the writing in order to retain such property rights. I am myself dating each piece and placing the traditional “©” mark to assure such retention and to remove any questions that might arise concerning intent or applicable dates.
